Totally off-topic for this website, but also important for working pros in any field. If you want to connect with someone online, be they a photographer or someone else in your industry, and whether it is LinkedIn, Twitter, or even FAce-to-Face, have a reason for doing so. Yes, of course I want the new Canon 1D X camera. It looks incredible. But I'm still incredibly happy with my 1D Mark IV and I won't be upgrading any time soon. Sadness.
