Occasional Drivel Advertising Policy

To further our mission of making current, reliable information available to anyone that chooses to read it, Occasional Drivel accepts advertising and sponsorship under strict guidelines. We will refuse any advertisement that we believe is incompatible with our mission. The presence of an ad on our site, in our newsletters, or in any of our email messages does not automatically imply endorsement of the advertised company or product. Advertisers and sponsors must not make unsubstantiated claims or suggest that Occasional Drivel has endorsed a product, and we will cancel any advertising arrangement with companies or products that

Occasional Drivel maintains a distinct separation between advertising content and editorial content. Advertisers and sponsors do not influence our selection or presentation of content anywhere on the site. Occasionally we will review products that we have used or tested, or that we want to use or test. Advertisements for retailers that offer those products for sale will often appear concurrently with those reviews. Although this is a source of revenue for the site, we feel it is also a beneficial service to our readers, and therefore an acceptable practice.

Occasional Drivel has the sole discretion for determining the types of advertising that will be accepted and displayed on the site, and under no circumstances shall our acceptance of any advertisement be automatically considered an endorsement of the product(s) or service(s) or for the company or persons that manufactures, distributes, or promotes such products or services. Endorsements will be very clearly stated as such.

Occasional Drivel reserves the right to reject, cancel, or remove at any time any advertising from the site for any reason and will provide prompt notice to the advertiser upon rejection, cancellation, or removal, together with an explanation.

Occasional Drivel reserves the right to determine the appropriate placement of the advertising on the site.

It is the responsibility of the advertiser to comply with all domestic laws, including applicable laws & regulation or regulatory bodies.

No advertising shall be permitted which may injure the good name or reputation of Occasional Drivel or the Occasional Drivel website, or its’ other participants.
