Disclosure Policy

Although Occasional Drivel is not based in the USA, most of our readers are; therefore, this policy has been designed to comply with the requirements set out in a recent FTC ruling with regards to bloggers that get paid to write about products and services.

Occasional Drivel Disclosure Policy

  • Most of the pages and articles provided by Occasional Drivel include advertisements that we get paid to display. If certain pages or articles do not display paid advertisements currently, please assume that they will later.
  • Most of the external links included within the pages and articles on Occasional Drivel are encoded with affiliate marketing codes so that we get paid if you click on them. If certain pages or articles do not display affiliate marketing links currently, please assume that they will later.
  • We will happily take products for free in order to review them. If the products reviewed were provided for free then that will be disclose in the text of the review.
  • Just because we get paid to display advertisements or affiliate marketing links, or if we get free products for review purposes it doesn’t mean that the reviews of those products or services will be positive or that we will endorse those products or services. Having said that, we generally only use products or services that we like, and most of the reviews presented will be about those products or services. Therefore there are probably going to be a lot more positive reviews thannegative.
  • For any other information about this policy please email Sean Phillips
